Frederick Beer Week Planning
Update: Opening night is 10 May. Still don’t know the location. Maybe Barley & Hops 11 May – Jim S. to teach beer judging 101, an introduction to tasting beer. 6 flights of several beers. Get people to think about beers. Dave Justice and Bill Heverly to assist. Brewer’s Alley to host, perhaps 25-30 people. We will also need volunteers to act as stewards to assist at this event. Saturday 14 May – Hop Farm – bands, breweries, and FOAM might do a brewing demo.
Follow-up – Jim Sawitzke is the FOAM rep for Frederick Beer Week. More details to follow as they develop.

Battle of the Bubbles 1st Round: May 1st BOS: May 10th in public Entries: Enter online, Piet is setting up the site. There will be a page on FOAM with all the details and a link to the entry site. 2 Bottles, Brown, unmarked, no raised letters, no labels, no markings on cap etc. Entries must be at the Flying Barrel from April 15-30th. Deadline is 2pm on the 30th. Check with Bob if he will except entries shipped to the Barrel. No limit to the number of entries Who can enter: Members of brew clubs in the FSHCG Guild (http://www.mdhomebrewers.org/) and anyone that lives in Frederick county Cost: $5 first entry, $4 all subsequent Piet will determine if we should use Paypal for online as well as determine if we will eat the cost, or charge $1 more for online.
