Here is a summary of the FOAM meeting held on Monday, August 6th at
Wild Goose Brewery:

First of all, thanks to the staff of Wild Goose Brewery for hosting
the meeting & letting us sample some great beer!

The FOAM Cup contest held at the August FOAM meeting was Wheat Beer.
The winners were:
1) Edgar Radonich/Mike Lamb
2) Dave Justice
3) Terry Brann

Next FOAM Officer's meeting will be Tuesday, August 14th, 7:30 PM at
Travelin' Dave's house in Middletown.

The BURP Mashout is coming up on the weekend of August 17th-19th.
Tickets are already sold out.

The homebrew contest at the Great Frederick Fair will be judged on
Sunday September 9th from noon to 3 PM. All entries must be
submitted on Saturday September 8th. You can drop yours off at the
Flying Barrel. Mike Lamb will be in charge, along with Calvin and
Edgar. They are looking for judges to help out, and you don't need to
be BJCP certified to help judge.

On September 22 & 23 the FOAMSTOCK campout will be held on Sarah
Anderson's property in Mount Pleasant off of Route 26. You can bring
spouses/kids, etc. Also, please bring a side dish or dessert, and,
of course, beer.
More specific directions & details will be coming up at the next
meeting & will be posted on the website.

Buck Reed will be teaching brewing classes at the Flying Barrel on
Monday & Thursday evenings & is looking for volunteers to help out.
Buck usually brings food with him, so you get a meal & of course,
some of the beer at the end. Buck will also be publishing a
beginner's guide to homebrewing soon. He is also hosting a party at
his house on Labor Day, featuring the beer that was left over from
the brewing classes. If you want to attend, please let Buck know
ahead of time.

Next FOAM Happy Hour will be on Thursday, August 16th at Brewer's
Alley. (Lobster Night!)
