Here is a summary of the FOAM meeting held at Brewer's Alley on Monday May 5th, 2008 (Cinco de Mayo)

Thanks to Brewer's Alley & Tom Flores for hosting our meeting.  Tom spoke about the current & upcoming beers, and held a trivia quiz in which the 3 winners won cases of Brewer's Alley beer.

We also had the FOAM cup for Bock style beer.  Thanks to Pieter Huiberts and Dave Justice for judging.

Winners were:
1) Keith Hipsley  (Maibock)
2) Tim Rice (Traditional Bock)
3) Calvin Perilloux (Doppelbock)

This Saturday May 10th is the Celtic Festival held in Urbana. Website:

There is also the BURP Spirit of Free Beer Competition at Old Dominion Brewing Company in Baltimore.

May 20th (Tuesday) is the next FOAM Officer's meeting, to be held at 7:30ish at Dave Justice's house. Everyone is welcome.

May 22 is the 3rd Thursday FOAM Happy Hour, to be held at Barley & Hops.

May 31st is the Maryland Brewers Springfest to be held at the Frederick Harry Grove Stadium. Tom Flores is looking for volunteers to help serve beer.

Monday June 2nd is the next FOAM meeting, to be held at our usual location, the Flying Barrel

June 10th is the June FOAM Officer's meeting, to be held at Jim Sawitzke's house

In July we usually skip the FOAM meeting, and instead we have the Pool Party on Saturday July 12th at Travelin' Dave Coleman's house! Bring food & homebrew!

On July 31st we will have a FOAM Happy Hour at Harry Grove stadium & enjoy a Frederick Keys game, featuring a beer tasting of Brewers Alley beer.

August 4th is the FOAM meeting, which will also be a FOAM cup for  - Belgian and French Ale (BJCP Style 16)
